Insurance Claims and Payments: Find Your Company's Claim and Bill Pay Links
This insurance claims and payments directory helps you reach your insurance company fast. Find your company below to report a claim, pay your bill, or reach customer service, using links to each company's official website and phone numbers we confirmed on those sites in September 2026.
Most claims and payments go directly to the insurance company, not your agent. That's usually the fastest route, especially after an accident or storm. If you're not sure which company insures you, can't find the right number, or need help with a claim, call Blake Insurance Group and we'll point you in the right direction.

Phone numbers can differ by state, product, and policy. The number on your insurance ID card, declarations page, or billing statement is always the most reliable one for your policy. Filing a claim
How to report an insurance claim
The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) advises drivers to call the phone number on their proof-of-insurance card as soon as possible after a crash, and notes that many insurers also let you file claims in their smartphone apps. The same idea applies to home, business, and other claims: report the loss promptly and have your policy number ready.
Before you call or go online, gather the details the claims team will ask for. For an auto accident, the NAIC suggests collecting the other driver's name, address, and insurance company, the other car's make, model, year, and license plate, witness contact information, and the responding officer's name and badge number, plus the time, date, and exact location of the crash.
- Stay safe first. If someone is hurt, call 911. If your car is drivable and it's safe, move it out of traffic.
- Call the police when required. The NAIC recommends promptly calling the police if a hit-and-run driver damages your car or it's stolen.
- Document the damage. Take photos or sketch the scene. For property losses, the Insurance Information Institute (III) suggests photographing damage if it's safe and preparing a detailed inventory of damaged items.
- Prevent more damage. The III recommends making temporary repairs you can do safely, such as covering broken windows or roofs, and saving the receipts.
- Keep a record. Note the date and name of everyone you talk to, and keep your claim number handy.
- Track extra expenses. If you can't stay in your home, the III suggests keeping records of all expenses, including hotel and restaurant receipts.
Life insurance claims work differently. The beneficiary usually contacts the insurance company, provides the policy number if known, and submits a claim form with a certified death certificate. Health insurance claims are usually filed by your doctor or hospital, but you may need to submit a claim yourself for out-of-network care.
Bill payment
How to pay your insurance bill safely
Most insurance companies let you pay online, by phone, through an app, by mail, or with automatic payments. Paying online or setting up autopay is usually the easiest way to avoid a missed payment. A missed payment can lead to a late fee or, if it isn't paid in time, cancellation, so check your billing statement for the due date and any grace period your company allows.
Only pay through your insurance company's official website, app, or phone number, or through your agent. The links in this directory go to each company's own site. The NAIC's fraud guidance says to stop and verify that a company is legitimate before paying, and to call your state insurance department to confirm that an insurance company exists and is authorized in your state.
- Check the web address before you enter card or bank details. Be wary of look-alike sites and payment links sent by text or email.
- Use the number on your statement if you prefer to pay by phone.
- Keep your confirmation number for every payment.
- Ask about autopay or paid-in-full discounts. Some companies offer them.
- Call us if a payment fails or you get a cancellation notice. We can help you contact the company quickly.
After you file
What happens after you file a claim
After you report a claim, the insurance company assigns it to an adjuster. The NAIC notes that you should cooperate with the adjuster's investigation and be prepared for the adjuster to meet with you to inspect the damage. For property claims, the III suggests getting a detailed written estimate for permanent repairs from a licensed contractor and giving it to the adjuster.
Your deductible is usually subtracted from a covered claim payment. If you have a loan or mortgage, the payment may be made out to both you and your lender. Depending on your coverage, the company may pay a repair shop or contractor directly.
You don't have to accept an offer you don't think is fair. The NAIC encourages consumers to ask questions, request a written explanation of the adjuster's decisions, and try to resolve disagreements with the insurer first. If you still can't resolve it, you can contact your state insurance department.
Tip: keep a simple claim file with your claim number, adjuster's name and phone number, photos, estimates, receipts, and notes from every call. It makes follow-up much faster.

How Blake Insurance Group can help with claims and billing
As an independent agency, we can help you find the right contact, understand what your policy covers, and follow up if something stalls. The insurance company makes claim decisions and issues payments, but we can help you prepare, explain the process, and advocate for a clear answer.
We can also review your coverage after a claim. A claim is often when people discover gaps, such as low liability limits, no rental reimbursement, no roadside help, or missing flood coverage. Learn more about roadside assistance coverage, compare auto insurance options, or ask about flood insurance, which standard homeowners policies usually exclude.
