Tips for a faster call
Have your Neptune Flood policy number and the named insured's details ready before you call. Write down the date, the name of the person you speak with, and any reference or claim number they give you. If you're calling about a claim, ask what the next step is, how long it usually takes, and how you'll get updates. If you're calling about a bill, ask for the amount due, the due date, and whether your last payment has posted.
If you'd rather not wait on hold, check whether Neptune Flood offers the same service online or in an app. Many policy changes, ID card requests, and payments can be handled without a call.
The number on your Neptune Flood ID card, declarations page, or billing statement is the most reliable one for your policy. If a number here doesn't reach the right team, call us at (888) 387-3687 and we'll help you find it.
Claims
How to file and track a Neptune Flood claim
Neptune Flood says its claims service offers options 24/7. You can call 727-202-4815, use the chatbot on the Report a Claim page, or email the claims team. The right email depends on your policy number: policies that start with SRF or SRE go to neptunefnol@cnc.claims, and all other policies go to neptune@pibadjusters.com.
You can also ask the agent who wrote your Neptune policy to submit the claim for you. Neptune says you can find the agent's contact information on your policy forms. If we placed your flood policy, call us and we can help you get the claim started.
To speed things up, Neptune suggests taking photos and videos of the damage, separating and protecting undamaged property, and making a detailed list of damaged or destroyed items. Keep a file with your claim number, your adjuster's name and contact information, photos, receipts, repair bills or estimates, and your list of damaged property.
Neptune says many claims can be resolved within 14 days of the first report, but timing can depend on how much damage you and your community have. Its Guide to Claims, linked from the claims page, explains what to expect after you report.
Before you report a claim
- Stay safe first. Leave the home if it isn't safe, and call 911 or the utility company for fires, gas leaks, or downed lines.
- Prevent more damage. The Insurance Information Institute (III) suggests making temporary repairs you can do safely, such as covering a broken window or roof, and keeping the receipts.
- Document everything. Photograph the damage if it's safe, and make a detailed list of damaged or lost items.
- Report it promptly. Call Neptune Flood or use its online claim tool, and have your policy number ready.
- Track extra costs. If you can't stay in your home, the III recommends keeping hotel, meal, and other expense receipts.
What happens after you file
After you report a claim, Neptune Flood assigns an adjuster who may inspect the damage in person or ask for photos and estimates. The III suggests getting a written estimate for permanent repairs from a licensed contractor. Your deductible is usually subtracted from a covered payment, and if you have a mortgage, the check may include your lender.
If you disagree with a decision, ask Neptune Flood for a written explanation and try to resolve it with the company. If you still can't, you can contact your state insurance department. Flood damage is usually excluded from standard home policies and needs separate flood coverage.
Billing
How to pay your Neptune Flood bill
Neptune Flood lists a Make a Payment link in its website footer, plus two mailing addresses for payments. For payments sent by USPS, mail to Neptune Flood Incorporated, PO Box 735653, Chicago, IL 60673-5653.
For payments sent by FedEx, UPS, or DHL, use JPMorgan Chase, Attn: Neptune Flood Incorporated 735653, 131 S Dearborn St, Floor 6, Chicago, IL 60603. Write your policy number on your payment, keep your receipt or tracking number, and confirm that the payment posted before the due date. For billing questions, email support@neptuneflood.com.
Whichever method you choose, save your billing statements and payment confirmations until the policy term ends. If you change banks or cards, update your payment details with Neptune Flood before the next draft date so a payment doesn't fail.
Tips for paying safely
- Use official channels only. Pay through Neptune Flood's website, app, or the number on your statement, or through your agent.
- Check the web address before you enter card or bank details, and be wary of payment links sent by text or email.
- Keep your confirmation number for every payment.
- Ask about autopay or paid-in-full options. Some companies offer them.
- Act quickly on a late notice. Grace periods vary by company and state, and a missed payment can lead to cancellation.
