How to file and track a Freedom General claim

Freedom General’s claim page says you can start a claim online by downloading and completing the “Online Loss Form.” Email the completed form to claims@FreedomNational.com. The page also lists claims@freedomnational.com as a claim email and provides a fax number, 866-244-0157. Include your policy number, contact information, loss details, and supporting documents when you submit the form.

Before you report a claim

• Collect the details. The NAIC suggests getting the other driver's name, address, and insurance company, the other car's make, model, year, and plate, witness contact information, and the officer's name and badge number.
• Note the time and place. Write down the date, time, and exact location, and take photos of the vehicles and the scene.
• Report it promptly. The NAIC advises calling the number on your proof-of-insurance card as soon as you can. Many companies also take claims in their app.
• Keep a claim file. Save your claim number, your adjuster's name, estimates, receipts, and notes from every call.

What happens after you file

After you report a claim, Freedom General assigns an adjuster who reviews the facts, your coverage, and the damage. The NAIC recommends cooperating with the adjuster and asking questions if anything is unclear.
