Michigan Plumbing Contractor Insurance: Contractor License and Workers’ Comp
Michigan’s LARA licenses plumbing contractors, and each contractor must be or employ the Master Plumber who represents the business. The state sets no general liability minimum or license bond, but workers’ compensation applies to employers with three or more workers, or one worker averaging 35 hours a week for 13 weeks.
This guide covers Michigan plumbing licensing, workers’ comp, coverage, and typical costs. Blake Insurance Group is an independent agency licensed in Michigan, and a licensed agent can compare quotes for your plumbing business.
